What the hell happened to last week?

What the hell happened? I don’t know! My eating was shit, I made it to the gym three times, and I finally pulled 100kg deadlift without being “dirty” about it, but everything else was a shit show.

I tracked food, but only some of it, I drunk water, but nowhere near what I want to be drinking (1.5-2L daily) I met my step goal, but only like, twice. It was certainly not a great week. To top it off, I decided to jump on the scales twice! The first time I didn’t gain or lose, but the second time, I guess after a few shitty days of eating, I’d somehow gained 2kg! That’s huge!

Weekly goals #4

OK! I clearly didn’t post at all last week, in fact, aside from my XXfitnesschallenge goal, I didn’t know what I’d be capable of after my surgery.

Turns out, everything went find and I did all my workouts (very lightly, mind you! I probably did more cardio to make up for it, really) except deadlift day (went to the beach instead… you just need a break sometimes, OK!) I also hit my goal steps (still 12k) EVERY DAY! I am so pleased with myself!

This week my goal is to eat 1500 calories at least 3 times this week. I kind of bugered that up today (I had butter chicken+naan for lunch…) but I reckon I’ll be fine these coming days! I’ve really noticed that water does make me very full, and I’ve started drinking as much as I can to curb feeling so hungry!

Powerlifting goals!

Alrighty! It’s been awhile since I posted anything non-goal related, and… well this isn’t exactly non goal related, but it’s specifically about my powerlifting.

A few posts ago I briefly mentioned that I wanted to participate in a power lifting comp. I’ve finally gotten the dates for this years meets, and unfortunately the “Novice” comp is way to soon (plus it’s on a Saturday, and my boss is pretty chill, but I don’t want to push it by taking another Saturday off!) I certainly don’t have any time to prep, especially because my surgery means I’ll be off heavy lifting for roughly a week. (Doctor said one week max, nurse said 3 weeks… I’m not sure which one to go by lol). So I think I’ll bite the bullet and go for the April and/or June comp. One which seems to be bench only,and another which I believe is all 3 (Bench, deadlift and squat). It’s all a little confusing, and I hope I’ll be able to enter with my low lifts (compared to the pros!).
